Commodore Perry in the Land of the Shogun

How did Commodore Perry Change Japan? Do you think Japan would have stayed isolated forever?

Commodore Perry changed Japan by: Going to Japan with a treaty and to open to trade.
Showing them their steamships,
Showing them their generosity, and,Telling them to let visitors (American ships) stay for some time,Showing them their ways of living,

I don't think Japan would be isolated forever because it shut them down from the world, they wouldn't know other new things (steamships, trains, electricity, etc.)
