From Mom:

This blog is where Levi will do a lot of his school assignments this year - a running journal of what he is doing as an 8 year old Homeschooler.

This year -through his choice - we are focusing on Modern History starting approximately with the Industrial Revolution through the current time.  We also work hard to make Math and Science a more organic part of his life and not just taught through workbooks.  He also has a love or Art and Engineering so we work in ways to incorporate more of that.

His main curriculum choices are

Build Your Library Grade 4 - covers history, literature, poetry, writing, science and copywork
Living Math - Intermediate Level 4
Foodmaster teaches math and science through cooking - Grades 3-5
Life of Fred Elementary Math
Prodigy Math Game
Artistic Pursuits Level 4

We also go to a weekly STEM co-op http://makerstemcoop.com
He takes Karate classes at McCoys Action Karate, where he is a SWAT (helps out in lower classes)
He takes violin lessons at Joy of Music
